Review of Chungking Express (1994) by Zachary S — 01 Dec 2008
Quentin's presentation of this film is great. Sadly he is right in saying that this film would not get watched if he didn't do his part to present it. His name draws you in and the film does the rest.
This film is a great depiction of love and life as it swirls in and out of its two main stories. The scenes where it's slowed down as the world zips by is amazing and the slow motion "shaky camera" sequences with dropped frames that add a jumpy punch, give the movie a wonderful zeal to it.
Great film. Throw it on your blockbuster/netflix cue.
