This was one of the first Wong Kar-wai movies I saw many many years ago, and got addicted almost immediately. Watching it again, I can clearly see why - he's the most captivating contemporary film-maker.
pure visual lyricism. combined with incredible visual dynamism. a genius, no doubt.
