Review of Chungking Express (1994) by Nick D — 28 Jan 2010
Wong Kar Wai is a very unique and interesting director in that he distorts reality with color, sound and often blurred images, much like Chungking Express does. There are two different stories that occur both about police officers and dealing with being alone.
The colors are beautiful and vivid and the actors feel so natural in their roles. Tony Leung is great as in every film he is in as well as Brigitte Lin as the mysterious Blonde killing woman. It might not connect, but it is an appealing visual ride.
