Won Kar Wai's outlook on relationships is, if anything, very anti-Woody-Allen in style. From the cop eating pineapples until his love's 'expiry date' to the enamoured waitress sneaking into her love interest's flat to do some serious cleaning, his world is populated by characters that so deftly capture the absurdity of the human experience.
