Review of C.H.U.D. (1984) by Jonathan S — 17 Apr 2008
Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers, one of THE best names for a monster, ever. These creatures are nasty and they live in the sewers, quietly picking animals and a human here and there off the streets to feast upon.
The film has awesome effects, very decent actors and acting for a change (Heard, Geist, and Stern are all terrific, including some of the cameo appearances), and the story is pretty straightforward without deviating into camp too much.
I certainly wish the same could be said about the sequel to this film.
