Review of Chronicle (2012) by Chris B — 17 Sep 2013

This movie was awesome. It felt believable in the sense that I understood why the characters acted the way that they acted. I was invested from start to finish, on the edge of my seat, eager to know what was going to happen. It's just such a cool concept handled in a way that was different than anything I've ever seen before.

There are two things that I have to say about this movie that are negative. First, the found-footage style of shooting only felt beneficial and logical for about 50% of the movie. For the rest of it, I was wishing it could have been shot in regular footage so I could better see what was going on. Secondly, this movie felt a little too short. Some of the best parts of this film happened too fast and I think this movie would have benefited a bit from a little more depth.
