Review of Chronicle (2012) by Wade H — 23 Jun 2014
Chronicle is basically a movie of promise. Not only does it juggle its plot and the found footage format effectively, but it also sends an unavoidable message about power, morality, weakness and strength. Moreover, it makes us lust for a sequel and aspire to see what the future holds for Josh Trank and Dane DeHaan, two names we will definitely be tired of hearing in the future.
Since I'm too lazy for a full review, I'm gonna give you the food for thought this film gave me: there is a kind of movie villain which tops the rest; I'm not talking about the misunderstood ones or the ones which represent pure evil or some other bullcrap. I'm talking about the RELATABLE kind of villain, the villain inside of every single one of us.
