Review of Chronicle (2012) by John C — 09 Feb 2015
A realistic interpretation of what a teenager would do if they had acquired super powers. The film begins as a normal teen drama centered around an abused student, by both bullies and father, then he and his three friends obtain powers.
The film takes a dark turn as the temptation to use the gifts for evil arise. The three struggle to maintain self control. This film is well acted and deserves more praise than it received for being a frightening thrill ride.
A well done film.
