Review of Chronicle (2012) by Shayan S — 05 Aug 2015
Well before Josh Trank showed how much wasted potential he had for his latest film, hope for his career came in the form of Chronicle, a found footage superhero-ish film that surprisingly had the originality and tone to make it entertaining.
From the film's: Fast paced direction, smart and emotional script, likable and often times relatable main characters, a gripping story, and a finale that was so insane and entertaining, it left a lot people wanting more.
However, while the found footage genre still makes some elements in the film cliched and the effects are a bit ehh, Chronicle showed potential in Josh Trank as a Sci-Fi or superhero director until his utter failure came to him in a Marvel series long in line.
