Review of Christopher Robin (2018) by Justin B — 23 Aug 2018
"Christopher Robin" is one of the most genuine films to come out in recent years. Poignant moral, if not cliche', and delightful dialog particularly from the bear himself make this a darling experience.
If anything, this film would have been great for the Pooh-isms alone, but McGregor's commitment to the role and willingness to allow his furry costars share and steal the scenes is what gives this take it's magic. For me, the fact that this was a period piece and chose to use classic stylings for the stuffed characters was just the icing on the cake.
