Review of Christopher Robin (2018) by Anthony C — 14 Aug 2018
The film definitely stays true to the heartwarming and charming sense felt from the works that inspired it. The actors all played their parts quite well, to the point where all the characters were believable.
My biggest issue with the film is that the plot's pacing seemed inconsistent, because there were instances where some scenes either rushed their transition or dragged their transition on. The film's main message also seems like it's directed at somewhat of a niche audience, so it might be more difficult to enjoy the film unless you're part of said niche.
Overall I did like the film and I'm certainly glad I saw it, but I can't help but feel like it falls just a tad short of being a wonder that it could have been.
