Review of Christopher Robin (2018) by Cheryl H — 03 Aug 2018
Not just another kids movie or reboot, Christopher Robin has more meat (and more melancholy) than the commercials would indicate. It's a touching tale that any adult with a speck of feeling will appreciate -- perhaps more so than their children.
Pooh's tao-like wisdom and gentle patience were sweet but never cloying, and Macgregor was fantastic as a troubled man in serious need of saving. Finally, major props for the look and feel of the animals -- I thought their appearance and animated movements looked just right.
