Review of Christopher Robin (2018) by Parker B — 08 Aug 2018
It makes me sad to see so many sad reviews on this movie. I will agree that it started out slowly, but I feel like the story required a slow beginning. Christopher Robin's life was supposed to seem very languid and boring starting out, but once Pooh and his friends come back they bring Christopher back to life, so to speak.
It is honestly a beautiful picture, very well done, and is the first Disney film I have seen in ages that left me feeling flat-out happy. Not a lot of CG. No violence. Just a film that reminds us that happiness can come to us from the simple things in life.
