When Tim Allen isn't busy playing Santa Claus he likes to relax in Christmas movies like this. Allen isn't given a great role but is always watchable. The surprisingly slight plot from John Grisham and Chris Columbus is dramatically improved at the finale when the loose ends are wonderfully tied up.
