Review of Christmas with the Kranks (2004) by Sean L — 08 Dec 2008

I went into this one with an open mind despite hearing the beating it took from the critics. And although I'm not often one that agrees with them, I had to align myself this time after watching the Kranks in action.

I expected more from Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis, but this flick just couldn't cut it. Curtis is just way too "over-the-top" dramatic, while Allen kind of just plods through this one.

I do think the concept of the film had a lot of potential, but the pace and incredibly lacklustre ending left me feeling no more in the Christmas spirit than the Hulk. Two stars, and only because I watched it from beginning to end without shutting it off.
