Review of Christmas in the Heartland (2017) by Nicole O — 23 Mar 2018
The movie based on the two main characters was a good idea. It had great comedy and entertainment, but the character who played the maid or house staff of Elsa's was portrayed terribly. It wasn't a coincidence that the only black character in the entire movie played the help.
It definitely had subliminal meanings of slavery in southern white households. Not cool. It made the movie seem discriminatory.
