Review of Christmas in July (1940) by Masorad ( — 21 Dec 2008
Gee-whiz innocence has its way in this rather by-the-numbers Sturges offering. Ray Walburn's bluster is fun, but Franklin Pangborn and Demarest are underused. A joke perpetrated by Tom, Dick and Harry is apt to please any Tom, Dick and Harry.
Middling.
