Review of Christmas in Connecticut (1945) by Troy K — 27 Dec 2017
Preposterous plot of a housekeeping magazine columnist who is the ideal wife but in reality is Stanwyck leading the single life in Manhattan. She and her besotted suitor - Gardiner - have to then pull off the perfect life on his Connecticut farm for the magazine's owner - Greenstreet - and a war hero - Morgan - over Christmas.
Every plot turn is totally predictable yet you can't help enjoying every moment.
