Review of Christine (1987) by Michael E — 28 Dec 2012
A journeyman John Carpenter and a lesser Stephen King novel combine to make one of the better adaptations of King's work, actually. Somehow, the talented, fresh-faced cast manage to sell this hard-to-swallow concept.
The practical car repair FX -- done with a lot of hydraulics and reverse photography -- are still fairly impressive.
