Review of Christine (1983) by Shane J — 13 Mar 2010
63/100. This film has become somewhat a cult horror classic, and it certainly has it?s moments. Decent acting is a plus, some of the special effects are quite good, even by today?s standards. Good use of music in the score.
It creates a creepy atmosphere that is very effective in the film. The basic plot is not particularly original, but using a car with a personality all it?s own is. Well photographed, good use of light.
One very irritating thing, when the car is chasing people, why on earth do they stay in the middle of the street? If I was going to be run over by a car, I would have the brains to get off the road. Good job though in general.
