John Carpenter & Stephen King are a winning team! The concept sounds silly but the movie turns out to be quite the opposite. Carpenter sees to it that an evil car is very well done, giving it character and personality without it becoming cheesy.
Keith Gordon does a decent job in the lead role, the other actors are only average, but it is a scary movie and that is somewhat to be expected. There is a fun element of mystery to the car and while there are no massive scares it instills a general eerie feeling.
Trust me, give it a shot it is better than the back of the case makes it sound.
