Based on a true story, it's amazing how fast the 14-year-old girl can spiral downwards to the sordid bottom, dividing her time between heroin, hustler boyfriend and hustling. the middle of the film is suddenly glammed up by David Bowie in concert, and the rest of the film is an ugly indictment of hard drugs.
