Review of Christiane F. (1981) by Jonny B — 10 Jan 2015
This film - despite it's harrowingly real footage and story - ended up dragging on a bit more than needed. A young Natja Brunckhorst does an excellent job of portraying the 14 year old Christiane who gets hooked on heroin and gets sucked deep into the underworld of drugs & prostitution.
The contrast of her character from beginning to the end is simply amazing. If 'Requiem for a Dream' didn't convince you to lay off the hard drugs then this will!
