Review of Chopping Mall (1986) by Squalid J — 25 Jul 2009
Awesomely bad movie from the 80's directed by C-grade movie king Jim Wynorski (whose also responsible for such ludicrous-ness like The Return of Swamp Thing, 967-EVIL 2, and Sorority House Massacre 2) about a mall that phases out it's security guards and upgrades to some little robots that malfunction and stalk and kill stupid teens that decide to spend the night in the mall.
We get to see some great young Scream Queens like Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator; From Beyond) and Kelli Maroney (Night of the Comet), but unfortunately they don't seem to be used to their full potential, if you catch my drift.
An absolute ludicrous plot, but great to watch and laugh at. Chopping Mall (or Killbots as it was once know as) also features a great cameo from cult icons Paul Bartell and Mary Woronov playing their same characters from the another cult classic films, Eating Raoul.
