Review of Chopping Mall (1986) by Paul N — 13 Mar 2008
Chopping Mall embodifies everything that was great about 80's horror films. From the cheesy dialogue, to the horrid acting, the awful clothing, and the ridiculous character types, Chopping Mall has it all, and what a fun ride it is!
To prevent crime, the mall has installed 3 security robots and steel shutters at night. Anyone who shouldn't be in the mall receives a non-lethal punishment...until something goes horribly wrong with the computer! This could spell trouble for the group of teens having a party in one of the stores.
This movie has so many laughable moments that you can't help but love it. I've seen it a handful of times and never get tired of it. Have your remote ready to rewind and replay your favorite scenes.
Considering you can probably buy this movie for less than it would cost you to rent it, everyone owes it to themselves to seek it out and enjoy the guilty pleasures of 80's horror at its finest.
