Review of Chopper (2000) by Steve A — 08 Jul 2008
Brilliant! Eric Bana's performance as Mark Chopper Read is just untouchable. It's impossible to take your eyes off the screen when he's on - and that's pretty much throughout the movie.
It's actually pretty hard to concentrate on the other elements of this film since his performance is completely mesmerizing, but that doesn't mean it isn't a solid movie, which had some of the funniest dialogue I've heard in a while.
Mind-blowing that the same director made Assassination of Jesse James - poles apart and I hope he's got something new in the works.
