Review of Chop Shop (2008) by Richard T — 06 Jan 2009
Very few films are as well paced as Chop Shop. From beginning to end no scene ever drags on too long or feels too short. All around the performances were great, particularly from the lead actor. The lines between cinema and reality also blended together seamlessly, anchored by the ultra realistic dialogue and delivery that really pulled me in helped sell the feel the film seemed to be shooting for.
Chop Shop covers so much ground during its lean running time that I cannot help but be impressed. I don't know if it's one of my favorite films, but its charm is undeniable and the cinematic style left me loving the film.
