First thing you'll notice is the sex and profanity. The shock factor. The other thing you may notice right away is the flashbacks which are hard to understand their relevance sometimes in the context of the film. Yeah, we need to know the truth about Victor (Sam Rockwell) but sometimes it isn't clearly defined.

After you get past those two points, you have just another headcase film... All the sexual antics that are liberally spread through the film just make you numb to that as you go and you try to understand what the hell is going on and different issues that Victor is dealing with in his psychosis. A dying mother, the inability to love someone he generally has affection for and the mistreatment of everyone else... It uneven, but it's funny at times. It's so in your face it becomes background noise with it's over the top stuff.

But, if you like your movies dark, this is worth a viewing.
