Review of Choke (2008) by Nick C — 08 Dec 2009
This movie is odd, and beyond the years of comedy that we have been given. So, we have good ol' boy Victor, who works as a reenactor at some dumb-fuck place where they enjoy colonial times. Oh, and he chokes at restaurants to get money for his dying "mother".
He is so addicted to sex that he actually pretends to be a rapist with a woman who has that sort of fetish, and ends up "spewing", if you will, all over another unidentified area, and not on the towel intended.
Poodle! Oh, and he is seeing a "doctor" at the mental hospital where his mom stays. I've never heard the phrase, "I'm trying to fuck you in a church to save my moms brain", and to be honest, I didn't really want to.
Did I mention he's possibly the clone of Jesus Christ? This movie was interesting, and I laughed a lot. I have only read a few pages of the book this is based on, and I've seen the entire movie.
I've got a feeling the book is much better, and I'm positive that feeling is right.
