Review of Choke (2008) by Kevin M — 10 Dec 2009
Watching "Choke" was like peering into the subconscious of every sex-obsessed douchenozzle I've ever known. There wasn't a single believable moment in its convoluted story, all the characters felt like fictional constructs instead of flesh and blood humans. Perhaps the film could be salvaged by all the drinking games you could invent around it; drink every time there's a gratuitous nude scene, drink for every fade-to-white flashback, drink every time Sam Rockwell says "fuck".
Actually, that sounds like a fine way to die of alcohol poisoning. Scratch that. Don't waste your time with this hipper-than-thou frivolity.
