Review of Choke (1971) by Melissa L — 17 Aug 2009
Palahniuk should be proud. I was worried about watching this movie, as I was afraid it would not be like the book, as so many are not. I was pleasantly surprised. Got my husband, who is not a big movie buff, to actually sit through the whole thing.
if you know Palahnuik's work, you alreayd know this is not for those of you who are queamish about blood, sex, psychological breaks, or bizarro worlds. It will not disappoint. Anjelica Huston is fabulous and the script stays as true to the book as it can in filmland.
