Review of Choke (1971) by Ryan J — 19 Sep 2010
Sam Rockwell's acting was well done. But this film seemed quite irregular.
Sam Rockwell plays a character who's mother is in a mental institution, who pays the bills through money he obtains from scamming people. (gaining money from his would be saviors from choking)Being a sex addict he attends support groups. He falls in love with a doctor who's not all that she seems. All throughout the film there are flashbacks which help flesh out the protagonists past.
I think Sam Rockwell's character is a person trying to change.
I think the film had some interesting ideas. Its just that I don't think the plot came together that well.
