Review of Chocolat (2000) by Wendy L — 27 Aug 2011
Off the back of "The Cider House Rules", Lasse Hallstrom brings out one of his most successful films. Again using the talents of Johnny Depp, and the accomplished French actress Juliette Binoche, a story of a conservative French town and when it is upset by the arrival of the chocolatier.
Judi Dench and Alfred Molina give fantastic performances as the town experiences revival of a different sort, and the knowledge that we all have a sweet tooth.
