Review of Chocolat (2000) by Helga N — 20 Aug 2009
A mother and daughter bring with them the divinations of sweet sweet chocolate~ mmm :).
But in a town bred with skepticism and resistance, can they allow to let temptation in?
I really enjoyed this film. It really made me think about aspects of social communities. One thing that came to light in this film is the idea that religion is a sign of oppression.
This is a film that is very influencial, as it recruites us to think about aspects of our beliefs and our lives.
