Review of Chocolat (2000) by Criss D — 09 Apr 2010

Chocolat? I like the underlying concepts: it's good to be tolerant and kind, to embrace the joys and simple pleasures of life... i.e. food, music, dancing, drinks and of course chocolate. And also too much holier than thou judgement and self restraint sucks all the joy out of living.

.. However, the film could have been richer in drama and passion, I was expecting much more, but overall the acting and story was kind of hokey and phoney, like a candy-floss Disney movie.
