Review of CHiPs (2017) by Russ B — 28 Jun 2017
Rated 3 stars & not 2.5 because the second half of the film made up at least a half star from the slow first half. I say worth watching. Although, I like the majority of all movies, with the exceptions of LaLa Land (enjoyed the latest "Beauty and the Beast" more), "High-Rise," "Passengers," "Fences (although it was well filmed w/ great acting-better as play though), but enjoyed everything from "A Street Cat Named Bob" to "Doctor Strange" to "Sin"g to "Why Him" to "Moonlight" (deserved the Oscar) to "The Girl with all the Gifts" to "Get Out" (don't know if it's 99% worthy, maybe 95) to "The Lego Batman Movie" (awesome) & Autopsy Jane Doe (forgive the shortened name of this title & lack of quotations).
My point is, if you agree with my opinions then it's worth a rental, but if not then wait until it's on a premium cable channel to watch or do t see it. In summary, watch if you can handle a first half of "what" while knowing it'll get a little better with somewhat fun jokes, true bonding & humanity that fills the second half with died down real life 'how good people are or should be' message that I can see some people not exactly getting.
I agree with the press critics summary, for the most part, but not all. For some people, not other(S).
