Chips is a painfully unfunny movie that doesn't justify its existence. Dax Shepard and Michael Pena have good chemistry together. They would be great in a better movie. Unfortunately, this movie is terrible.
I laughed once. ONCE! In the entire 100 minute runtime I laughed once. The jokes are not funny at all. They are all bad sex or gay jokes. The action is competent, but that doesn't justify the script.
The beginning is horrible. The end was better, but it was still terrible. The plot is generic. They have to find dirty cops in the department. But the movie shows the viewer who the dirty cops are right in the beginning.
That ruins the mystery. Also, the film repeats jokes that weren't funny the first time. The movie just doesn't learn. Overall, please don't watch this movie. It isn't entertaining and it definitely isn't funny.
