Review of Chinese Zodiac (2012) by Jeff P — 03 Feb 2013
I just finished it. I have got to say that I thoroughly enjoyed Jackie Chan last hoorah through big budget films. Whatever that means. When I read other people reviews, mostly the really negative one's I seem to disagree.
Though yes it is much of the same from Jackie, it still was a fun thing to watch, and I really got a big kick at seeing a nearly 60 year old Jackie doing these stunts. The little nods to the past two films were very, very minimal, but when they appeared I was giddy with so much joy and I didn't even really know why.
I have to say when they did add CGI, near the end, I was a little disappointed about how fake it looked. Oh, btw, watch the other 2 Armour of God films, Armour of God and Armour of God 2: Operation Condor, before this one.
I've only watched the first one and I only found it to be okay, but hey lots of other people cite it to be their favorite Jackie Chan film. Same thing with the second movie. Which I will be watching soon.
