(2012) Chinese Zodiac.
(Much of it in Mandarin with English subtitles).
ADVENTURE/ ACTION/ COMEDY.
The most fun Jackie Chan movie in awhile which was inspired by the cartoon show 'Jackie Chan Adventures' and Part 3 of the "Armour Of Gods" series- an Indiana Jones type of adventure except that it devoids many CGI as much as it can. The thin story is obviously a backdrop to many comedic touches as well as action scenes which includes rollerblading armored suit, a fight in a warehouse and then to top it off some sky diving- much of it is done with the help of a wind machine. Although, some of the comedic touches for me fell flat, my rating is strictly toward the few action scenes it does have and thought it was many times better than much of the things he did in Hollywood such as "The Karate Kid", "The Spy Next Door", "The Forbidden Kingdom" and "Around The World In 80 Days" to name a few.
3 out of 4 stars.
