Review of Chinatown (1974) by Josh H — 23 Mar 2011
Chinatown is a noir classic by director Roman Polanski and in this film he is at his best. This film succeeds on so many levels. The acting by Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway, and John Huston is excellent. The direction is perfect, as is the cinematography, and the writing.
This film is beyond brilliant; I hadn't known before I saw this film that a plot about missing water could be so elaborate, and emotionally turning.
If you were to see this film you wouldn't regret it.
