Review of Chinatown (1974) by Peter H — 01 Jun 2011
Roman Polanski's CHINATOWN [1974]: one of the finest Hollywood movies ever produced, CHINATOWN is one of the most wildly celebrated Neo-Noir films of all time that is actually held in high regard as if it was an original Film-Noir movie.
The Plotline of the film is set L.A in 1937 Private Eye J.J Gittes (Jack Nicholson) is hired to investigate a rich socialites Husband on the suspicion that an affair has been taking place. But when it turns out the husband a wealthy developer has been murdered Gittes soon uncovers something much darker than a murder.
My rating for this great film is a solid 100%.
