Review of Chimpanzee (2012) by Marc H — 24 Apr 2012
Normally you would expect a documentary about chimps to offer nothing more than a few shots of them eating, jumping, hunting, getting hunted, throwing feces, and maybe even a tear jerking description about poaching, endangerment, or even extinction...but NEVER would you expect an actual story!!!
Chimpanzee tells the unlikely story of a baby chimp, separated from his mother, who comes to be adopted by the alpha male of his clan (who would normally have no interest in this baby other than to throw rocks at it or use it as bait for prey).
It's got heroes, villains, drama, action, highs, lows, and everything in between that you could want in a story.
