Review of Chimes at Midnight (1965) by Matt M — 18 Jan 2013
The relationship between Prince Hal of Wales and his fat and decadent companion of debauchery Falstaff. Welles shines in this film behind the camera, as he revolutionises the way in which Shakespeare tales had been brought to the screen up to that point, but he also shines in front of it, turning in perhaps the best cinematic performance of his career as Falstaff.
