Review of Child's Pose (2013) by Ching T — 19 Nov 2013
A very engrossing and caustic examination of the upper class Romanian psychology as manifested in an overbearing and controlling mother's obsessive love for her 30 something year old son. Amazing how she can be so cold, calculating and manipulative when it comes to all tasks necessary for damage control to keep her son out of jail when he accidentally kills a boy in an auto accident.
The end scene shatters all that cool calm collectiveness of the mother and the man child to both face their humanity.
