Well, this is the last of the conventional Chucky films. The ones where he is going after Andy. Thank god I'm done with these types of films.

Acting: Well, like the rest of the series so far, the acting is incredibly weak. The only character I remotely cared about was Chucky. He was the character with the most life in him. He even had more facial expressions than the rest of the cast and he's a freaking doll! And in this one Andy is 16 now so now there is no stupid 8 year old character who is incapable of doing anything right? WRONG!!! Since Andy is now older they feel that they need another annoying child character. Yeesh. Also, there are some incredibly stupid characters. There is one, the military school barber, who seems to have a fetish of cutting people's hair. He gets WAAAY too into it. It's really weird and awkward. 1.5/10.

Plot: Oh well you know, same old same old. Chucky gets resurrected again he goes after Andy to transfer his soul blah blah blah blah blah. It's the same story just with a few tweaks like the setting and the supporting characters. it got old after #2. You know, I realized that these movies are like a twisted Toy Story movie. Kid named Andy, cool new toy, comes to life when no adults are around (at least in the beginning). Stuff like that. I dunno. Maybe those are weak comparisons. But anyway: 2.5/10.

Screenplay: Must you ask? It's pathetic. The only good lines came out of Chucky. That's it. Seriously they need a better screenwriter. NOW. 1.5/10.

Likableness: Not very. It had its moments and they all involved Chucky being alive and butchering people. There are no other merits to the film. 3/10.

Final Score: 8.5/40 21% (S).

TRIVIA TIME: 1. Under pressure from Universal, screenwriter Don Mancini was asked to begin writing the third film even before the second film was released. Hence, this picture was released only nine months after Child's Play 2 (1990). Mancini has called it his least favorite because he felt he was out of ideas so soon after Part 2.

2. The movie was the center of a tabloid panic on its British release, with one newspaper - The Sun - even demanding copies be burned. Journalists claimed the film had influenced two 10 year old boys to kidnap and murder a younger child, two-year-old James Bulger, although it was later determined that neither had actually seen this film.

3. Charles Durning was considered to play Col. Cochrane. Also, Anthony Michael Hall and Kevin Dillon were considered to play Cadet Lt. Col. Shelton.
