Review of Child's Play 3 (1991) by Steven L — 07 Mar 2008
These just keep getting worse and worse. Made a mere year after Child's Play 2, little boy Andy from the first two movies has now aged about ten years. I hate stupidity in movies, and the company that makes the Good Guy dolls might just be the stupidest in the history of film. Why do they keep coming up with the brilliant idea of making new Chucky dolls, for a THIRD time? Because if they didn't, there would be no movie. And that's always the worst explanation for why something happens, because it means that what is happening is not coming organically out of the story. Yeah, I know, these are movies about killer dolls. But, still, couldn't what decisions are made by the characters make sense at least?
The most memorable scene is the one with the paintball guns. I'm pretty sure that can't actually happen though, and it just made me even angrier.
