The most compelling aspect of the third Chid's Play film is its reputation as a video nasty and the controversy surrounding its supposed role in the James Bulger murder. Seemingly aware of its own potential to affect children; an opening scene sees company executives discussing the potential that the Good Guy dolls could influence children in a.
'negative way'. However, the link between the film and any real-life events was always considered to be dubious. Child's Play 3 is frivolous at best and doesn't warrant anything more than a casual glance.
