Child's Play is a fantastic Horror film that delivers a lot of brilliant ideas and acts as a clever 80's Horror film as well. This movie is about a young boy name Andy who receives a Good Guy doll for his birthday.

After Aunt Maggie's death Andy soon learns that all of the deaths that's happening in his life along with his mom's are all done by his doll Chucky in which he discovered that he's alive and Chucky soon has plans to move his soul to Andy's body and Detective Mike Norris and Andy's mom must save Andy before Chucky completes the chant he will use on Andy.

To be honest I love watching this film and watching it for the seventh time still hasn't changed my mind and yet this movie still frightened me. What I like about Child's Play is that this film has a clever plot and I love how we get to know who Chucky is in the first Child's Play and seriously I love the scene where Charles Lee Ray transfers his soul to the doll which Andy buys later on for his birthday and the concept is ace even the themes and tones are incredibly creepy at the exact same time and I always love the first Child's Play movie and I managed to watch this finally since the only Child's Play film I watched are its two sequels(Child's Play 2 and 3).

The second Highlight of this movie is the fantastic camerawork and soundtrack of the film and I seriously love the camerawork in this movie a lot even the soundtrack at the exact same time. Plus the other things I like about this film is that the movie is also packed with loads of suspenceful and intense scenes even a couple of creepy scenes as well(Aunt Maggie's death, Chucky attacks Mike Norris in his own car, The children's psychiatric hospital sequence and the chase and showdown finale at the house of Andy Barclay).

But the biggest highlight of this film is Chucky one of the most iconic Horror killers in Horror movie history since Freddy Krueger and seriously Chucky is super scary and creepy in this film and he still freaked me out from this film until Child's Play 3 and I seriously adore Chucky a lot.

Now the acting is fantastic in this movie all of the casts did a fantastic job with their work in the film from Catherine Hicks to Chris Sarandon but the best performance in the film out of all the casts is Brad Dourif as the killer doll Chucky and Alex Vincent as the main character Andy Barclay.

Director Tom Holland did a fantastic job with his work in this movie along with series creator and writer of the entire Child's Play trilogy Don Mancini(who made his directional debut with Seed Of Chucky and Curse Of Chucky)and I love how these two worked on the first installment in the Child's Play series so far.

Overall Child's Play is an entertaining and suspenceful Horror film that will scare you to death from start to finish. This movie gets a 10/10.
