Review of Child's Play (1988) by Edgar C — 28 Mar 2013
Whether you accept it or not, the movie smells a lot of the 80s, which is a good thing to start with. Secondly, it is amazing fun, and this little plastic guy has become so famous that it is among the most known, scary and iconic horror faces, even if it is some centimeters tall. Thirdly, since the beginning we are made to understand that the initial concept is so preposterous that we are not forced to expect a masterpiece beforehand. And, for what it is, it came out pretty decent... and campy for all the convenient reasons.
64/100.
