Review of Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest (1995) by Alex R — 20 Oct 2011
Third entry is a good horror film that uses every horror cliché to its advantage to create an entertaining horror film. This third entry is a film designed purely to satisfy the most diehard horror fan and it works.
You get the blood, the gore and the scares. Children of the Corn 3: Urban Harvest may not be a perfect entry in the series. This entry has enough going for it to make it a worthy third entry to the original film.
I very much enjoyed the kills here, and the story was entertaining and well constructed. There's an effective creepy story at work here, and for the most part, it succeeds. There are things that could have been improved, but this is a good sequel nonetheless and it delivers effective horror with plenty of blood and gore.
The film has a good script, and unlike some of the other sequels, this film is quite fun to watch, and will delight horror fans. There are plenty of good horror elements at work here, and I don't know why this film wouldn't appeal to a horror fans, as this film uses every horror cliché in a creative manner to create a fun, entertaining and creepy horror film that should be seen by fans of the original Children of the Corn.
Urban Harvest is a fun, entertaining third sequel in the Children of the Corn series. Fans will surely enjoy this film and despite its imperfections, the film is still a must watch for fans of the series.
